Standard Five: Assess, provide feedback and report on learning.
5.1 Assess student learning
Proficient: Develop, select and use informal and formal, diagnostic, formative and summative assessment strategies to assess student learning.
Evidence:
• Providing students with rubrics that allow honest feedback and self-reflection on own personal work
• Data collected through online wiki responses based on STEM lessons
• Providing accurate Semester One reports in 2017, to parents, using student assessment collection data
5.2 Provide feedback to students on their learning
Proficient: Provide timely, effective and appropriate feedback to students about their achievement relative to their learning goals.
Evidence:
• Written assessment given to students in STEM books and on student wiki responses online
• Verbal guidance throughout all lessons that is used to extend and break down STEM lessons
5.3 Make consistent and comparable judgements
Proficient: Understand and participate in assessment moderation activities to support consistent and comparable judgements of student learning.
Evidence:
• Assessment moderation using student guided rubrics
• Planned times where specific student moderation can occur between specialists
