7.1 Meet professional ethics and responsibilities

 

Proficient: Meet codes of ethics and conduct established by regulatory authorities, systems and schools.

 

Evidence: 

• Understand and implement the professional role of an educator as seen at Tulliallan Primary School as seen in the Tulliallan School Teacher Handbook

• Uphold standards set by Tulliallan Primary School both personally and professionally

 

7.2 Comply with legislative, administrative and organisational requirements

 

Proficient: Understand the implications of and comply with relevant legislative, administrative, organisational and professional requirements, policies and processes.

 

Evidence: 

• Use and refer to specific Tulliallan guidelines and base conduct using the professional document written and enacted by whole school council. EG: Administration processes

• Follow specific mandatory processes that cover and protect student and community wellbeing EG: Lockdown procedure

 

7.3 Engage with the parents/ carers

 

Proficient: Establish and maintain respectful collaborative relationships with parents/ carers regarding their children’s learning and wellbeing.

 

Evidence: 

• Calling or emailing parents through Compass about their student's work and/or positive behaviour

• Engaging with the community to get parent helpers for the school Kitchen Garden

 

7.4 Engage with professional teaching networks and broader communities

 

Proficient: Participate in professional and community networks and forums to broaden knowledge and improve practice.

 

Evidence: 

• Working alongside staff from other schools to provide a high-level STEM curriculum program

• Attended a Casey Central Network Meeting in regards to completing VIT full registration

• Attendance at the annual STEAM conference at Kingswood Primary School (some notes included below)
