Standard Two: Know the content and how to teach it.
2.1 Content and teaching strategies of the teaching area
Proficient: Apply knowledge of the content and teaching strategies of the teaching area to develop engaging teaching activities.
Evidence:
-
Using student feedback voice to guide and set lesson objectives via post it notes on the board
-
Use the Fisher and Frey model to clearly present a learning purpose at the start of each STEM lesson
2.2 Content selection and organisation
Proficient: Organise content into coherent, well-sequenced learning and teaching programs.
Evidence:
-
Clear and concise yearly, term and weekly planners
-
Creating STEM teaching programs that are easy to follow in sequence as evidence in the Term Overview Planners
2.3 Curriculum, assessment and reporting
Proficient: Design and implement learning and teaching programs using knowledge of curriculum, assessment and reporting requirements.
Evidence:
-
Planning using the Victorian Curriculum links
-
Using both formative and summative assessment to assess student growth (plickers sample)

2.6 Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
Proficient: Use effective teaching strategies to integrate ICT into learning and teaching programs to make selected content relevant and meaningful.
Evidence:
-
Use of Plickers and Seesaw platforms to gather pre and post-test STEM results
